About Prayer 24x7 Chain Prayer How to Pray? Prayer is our communication with God, whether it is a petition made to God, worship, repentance, praise, or thanksgiving. It doesn’t have to be a laid-out patent prayer, but words from the heart. God wants all of us, he knows our minds and hearts, so why not talk to Him as if He already knows the situation. The effectual fervent prayer is one with power behind it, one that produces results. We have to believe what we pray, not just ‘mouth’ words. Sometimes we go blindly into our prayers, not knowing in which direction to go. Desires of the heart should be those that will glorify God, not necessarily the human desires we have to make our life better. God knows each though we have, so why not go to Him and talk with Him as you would if you were to meet Him on the street. Prayers do not have to be long, drawn out affairs, but we need to be precise in what we are asking, and ask according to the Bible rather than asking blindly for what we want. If it glorifies the Lord, then it will be something good for us otherwise, we should not be asking for it in our prayers. Excellent guidelines or thoughts on Christians Prayer: Life is fragile, handle with Prayer To be a Christian without prayer is no more possible than to be alive without breathing If Christians spent as much time praying as they do grumbling, they would soon have nothing to grumble about Prayer is the rope that pulls God and human together. But it doesn’t pull God down to us; it pulls us up to Him Every Christian needs a half-hour of prayer each day, except when he is busy, then he needs an hour Don’t pray when you feel like it. Have an appointment with the Lord and keep it We should spend as much time in thanking God for his benefits and blessings as we do in asking Him for them Never make the blunder of trying to forecast the way God is going to answer your prayer Many a person is praying for rain with his tub the wrong side up God will either give you what you ask, or something far better God never ceases to speak to us, but the noise of the world without and the tumult of our passions within bewilder us and prevent us from listening to Him Whether we like it or not, asking is the rule of any kingdom In prayer we shift the center of living from self-consciousness to self-surrender Prayer is naught but a rising desire of the heart into God by withdrawing of the heart from all earthly thoughts He who has learned to pray has learned the greatest secret of a holy and happy life There is not in the world a kind of life more sweet and delightful than that of a continual conversation with God He who prays as he ought will endeavor to live as he prays At the profoundest depths in life, men talk not about God but with Him God does nothing except in answer to Prayer It is important that we know and hear God’s voice, for the words of God reveal the will of God Lay before Him what is in us, not what ought to be in us Prayer meetings are the most difficult meetings to sustain because they are the most spiritual meetings of the church Pray as though everything depended on God. Work as though everything depended on you In prayer it is better to have a heart without words that words without a heart Prayer should be the key of the day and the lock of the night All who call on God in true faith, earnestly from the heart, will certainly be heard, and will receive what they have asked and desired More tears are shed over answered prayers than unanswered ones God shapes the world by prayer. The more prayer there is in the world the better the world will be, the mightier the forces of against evil We have to pray with our eyes on God, not on the difficulties If you want that splendid power in prayer, you must remain in loving, living, lasting, conscious, practical, abiding union with the Lord Jesus Christ If the Christina does not allow prayer to drive sin our of his life, sin will drive prayer out of his life Those persons who know the deep peace of God, the unfathomable peace that passes all understanding, are always men and women of much prayer Beware in your prayers, above everything else, of limiting God, not only by unbelief, but by fancying that you know what He can do. Expect unexpected things above all that we ask or think Prayer moves the hand that moves the universe Prayer is the Key to Heaven, but Faith unlocks the door Heaven is full of answers to prayer for which no one bothered to ask The fruit of silence is prayer. The fruit of prayer is faith. The fruit of faith is love. The fruit of love is service. The fruit of service is peace. The fruit of peace is silence. What is the need of this Chain Prayer? A congregation without a prayer meeting is essentially defective in its organization, and so must be limited in its efficiency. A church is never more like the New Testament church than when it is praying. A dynamic praying church must be built from the inside out, employing all four levels of prayer: the secret closet, the family altar, small group praying and finally, the congregational setting. As prayer meetings fail in a congregation, so will the ministrations of the pastor become unfruitful, the preaching of the word fail to convert sinners and promote holiness in the professors of religion. If we pray among a select society of Christians, we draw near to God with holy boldness, something like what we use in our duties of secret worship. We have reason to take more freedom among fellow saints and whose hearts have felt many of the same workings as our own. History confirms the truth that wherever evangelical and vital religion flourishes, there live the earnest gatherings for social prayer. There is a power in conferring and covenanting, on the part of kindred spirits, to come before God, and plead together some special promise. The prayer meeting is a special means of developing and cultivating Christian graces, and of promoting individual and social edification. What the Church needs today is not more or better machinery, not new organizations or more and novel methods, but church whom the Holy Ghost can use – church (congregation) of prayer. True prayer is God the Holy Spirit talking to God the Father in the name of God the Son, and the believer’s heart is the prayer-room. The more you intercede, the more intimate will be your walk with Christ and the stronger you will become by the Spirit’s power. Prayer needs three organs of the body that are all located on the head. The ear hears His word to us, the tongue repeats what we’ve heard from Him back to Him, and the eye looks expectantly for the answer. Prayer is the atmosphere of revelation, in the strict and central sense of that word. It is the climate in which God’s manifestation bursts open into inspiration. Prayer is God’s appointed means for appropriating the blessings that are ours in Christ Jesus. Prayer is communion with God: the “home-life” of the soul. Prayer gives vision in the secret place, intelligence in work, sense in judgment, courage in temptation, tenacity in adversity, and joyous assurance in the will of God. Prayer for the in-dwelling of the Spirit, with all the fullness of his sanctifying grace, ought then to be the most natural and continual of the petitions of the Christian. Prayer as it comes from the saint is weak and languid; but when the arrow of a saint’s prayer is put into the bow of Christ’s intercession it pierces the throne of grace.” Our spirituality and our fruitfulness are always in proportion to the reality of our prayers. Nothing would turn the nation back to God so surely and so quickly as a Church that prayed and prevailed. The world will never believe in a religion in which there is no supernatural power. A rationalized faith, a socialized Church, and a moralized gospel may gain applause, but they awaken no conviction and win no converts. No form of Christian service is both so universally open to all and so high in Christ’s priority for all Christians as prevailing prayer. No church can be said to be fulfilling its ministry to any degree if it is not laying hold of the power of God through prayer. Powerful Results of Chain Prayer: Spiritual Warfare is a complex battlefield involving the spiritual and physical realms, Father God, Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit, angels and Christians, Satan, principalities, powers, evil spirits and evil people. Spiritual warfare is not just deliverance, exorcism, intercession or prayer. The Bible tells us that in spiritual warfare we’re dealing with a wide range, high level and depth of enemy requiring more than most Christians currently realize, understand or are prepared to meet on the battlefield. Many even think we have no need to do spiritual warfare of any kind. This is not Biblical doctrine or what Jesus taught us through a great deal of His ministry! Some fear spiritual warfare or believe there is no place for it in their ministry as they are evangelists or prophets or pastors or worship leaders. This is also not Biblical doctrine. Spiritual warfare is a reality of life. Ignoring the enemy doesn’t make them go away! It’s time for all Christians to obtain Extreme Results! God commands: “Any my speech and my preaching were not with persuasive words of human wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power, that your faith should not be in the wisdom of men but in the power of God” – 1Cor 2:4-5 “But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him. God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth” – John 4:23-24 We must demonstrate God's power and do Extreme Spiritual Warfare in the spirit, in the heavenliest as Paul said, “For we do not wrestle (war) against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places”. - Ephesians 6:12 Almost everything in life requires a spiritual warfare solution... Christians who feel depressed or rejected or have anxiety have found that spiritual warfare is much more effective than counseling and drug therapy! Spiritual warfare is the answer for those Christians struggling with anger management! Addictions with drugs, alcohol, gambling and sex have been easily dealt with through spiritual warfare! Spiritual warfare has brought instant healing to Christians with cancer, diabetes, AIDS and other diseases! Incredible, long-lasting results for evangelization have been documented around the world when spiritual warfare was utilized! Especially for those who stubbornly refuse salvation! Protection of family and property is a result of spiritual warfare! Many Christians who have struggled financially have obtained relief due to spiritual warfare! Spiritual warfare has even raised the dead! The list of benefits of spiritual warfare goes on and on to include benefiting neighborhoods, cities, regions and even entire nations! Some people say, "Spiritual warfare is silly as Satan doesn't exist and there aren't any evil spirits!" or "Our church says God takes care of Christians so we don't need to do spiritual warfare"! or "My life is what I make of it, mixed with good luck and bad luck, not through spiritual warfare!" or "I can't do spiritual warfare because I don't know how?" These kinds of statements indicate a poor understanding of the power and authority available to all Christians in the spiritual realm! Spiritual training in churches is virtually non-existent. Our goal is God’s goal for your life… training you how to use your spiritual senses and gifts, worship in spirit and truth, demonstrate God’s power, go in the spirit, conduct spiritual warfare and healing, change the lives of people in your family, your church, your city and your nation! We, Shekinah AG Church, Doha, Qatar believe in the power of prayer. Jesus prayed regularly to God for guidance, and we would do well to remember that the power of prayer is one of God’s most miraculous gifts to all of us. Remember, no request is too big or too small to bring to God’s attention. We have one prayer chain in 24x7 round the clock operation. Prayer requests for healing, direction, protection or thanksgiving are forwarded to the members of the prayer chain who will include the requester in their own prayers to God. This prayer chain is coordinated by Mr. Franklin. You can submit your prayer request in our website. God Bless You!
